Weddings by Jessica Jean
I craft ceremonies rooted in romance. From a tiny toast in your favourite cosy pub to a chic celebration with a guest list to match, I’ll be by your side to make sure your ceremony feels unmistakably yours.
About the Celebrant
Jessica Jean
Northern Ireland by heart, East London by home. I’m a humanist wedding celebrant trained by Humanists UK, and a writer by trade.
In my day job, I’ve spent years helping others find the right words, writing stories and speeches for people in the public eye. Now, I use that experience to tell the most meaningful stories of all: yours.
I’ll help you shape the whole ceremony — from readings and poems to music and choreography — so it flows with ease, feels true to you, and leaves you with memories you’ll carry forever.

Yes, I do. Fun fact, Humanists UK were instrumental in successfully campaigning for legal same-sex marriage in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It’s something we’re really proud of!
-
Great question! Humanism is an ethical, non-religious philosophy of life. I actually grew up in a Humanist household, and I see it as the belief that we all have an innate moral compass. We don’t need the promise of an afterlife to live well, now. Humanism, to me, is kindness, curiosity, and tolerance.
-
A Humanist wedding is entirely personal. There’s no set structure or script, just a celebration of your love, your way. You can include cultural rituals, family traditions, or even your pets. Whatever your vision, we can make it happen. Drop me an email at marryme@jessicajean.co.uk and we can discuss in more detail.

Yes, you can. The fundamentals values of Humanism are tolerance, curiosity and inclusivity. So if you’re looking for a non-religious ceremony, a humanist one is a great choice. Everyone is welcome!
